One of the most innovative disciplines among the services in cosmetology, the art of Hair Design involves using lines, shapes, directions, and textures to shape and sculpt hair. The principles of hair design (which are also important in art and design) are proportion, balance, emphasis, and harmony.
Cutting and styling are major parts of the Georgia Institute of Cosmetology curriculum. The cosmetology program will teach you how to understand what your clients want, and how to execute the latest styles.

You will learn how to mix and apply color, as well as how various coloring tools are used.
